Abigail Burmester graduated from Towson University with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. After graduating college, she worked as a clinical assistant at Kennedy Krieger where she gained vital fieldwork experience. Since December 2021, Abigail has continued to enrich her clinical experience in her position as a Mental Health Worker on Sheppard Pratt’s Crisis Stabilization Units. Abigail’s extensive clinical experience has given her opportunities to be trained in LSCI and DBT therapy frameworks. She has had the opportunity to work with patients with a wide range of needs; ranging from complex trauma to crisis interventions. She strives to provide a judgment-free zone for patients to continue moving toward their mental health goals. Abigail values cultivating personal relationships with each of her patients to better understand their individual needs and supports to be successful. Abigail plans to extend her education to become a Registered Nurse and continue helping individuals in the Mental Health field.
