My name is Amy O’Neill, and I was born and raised in Maryland. I started my nursing career at a vocational high school and graduated as a licensed Practical nurse (LPN). I practiced for a few years as an LPN, decided to further my nursing career, and went back to school to become a registered nurse (RN). I received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University and finished a post-master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Maryville University. I am a well-rounded clinician, as my nursing career has been in mental health, emergency medicine, care coordination, and leadership. My experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner has been in the outpatient setting and adolescent residential care.
A few fun facts about me: I am an avid reader (and yes, I still belong to a book club for over 19 years), have a beautiful family of 4 girls and one boy, and have a great husband. I love music, have a great sense of humor, and love to cook. I enjoy being a part of a dynamic team and look forward to this new chapter as a nurse practitioner at Mindful Healing Works Wellness Center.
